3 years of fun ~ laughter ~ learning, summed upto into three letters, SWO !
As a frightened kid who came out of her comfort zone to a metropolitan city, SWO was my home away from home. A place where I could be myself and engage with people of my interests and hobbies.
This family taught me how to thrive despite the challenges, and that it's okay to fail if you have the willpower to stand back up and fight. The friendship and mentorship that you experience once you are a part of this family can't be justified by words and I am extremely grateful that I was a part of it . My love and respect to SWO cannot be expressed in words as I am forever indebted to the people in it.
For me SWO stands as an epitome of this quote,
"I can do what you cannot do, you can do what I cannot do, but together we can and will do great things"
And yes, we did wonders !

The Student Welfare Office has played a pivotal role in shaping me as an individual holistically. The hustle & bustle of planning out an event, coming a day before for dry runs, and reaching early to make sure everything is in place would be some of the things I genuinely enjoyed doing.
It has helped me adapt to various situations, improvise & execute better.
SWO has been instrumental in making me what I am today.
For me, SWO has not just been some other office, it’s been a family, a warm, fuzzy & a cozy home.

Working in SWO is more than the spirit of volunteerism to me. Meeting people from across the university, getting sneak peeks of the events backstage and most importantly making a treasure box of memories with not just my batch members but with seniors and juniors is truly a novel experience.
Stepping into the office as a shy volunteer and graduating as a confident young woman ready to set foot out into the real world is the profound impact SWO has and will always have on me.
If meeting people, stepping outside of your comfort zone and expanding wings is your thing, I'd definitely recommend students to start off as a volunteer in SWO.

I vividly remember attending the SWO orientation and wondering would there really be work for so many people, it was overwhelming! Through a journey of three years, I realised, there’s always something to do, even if it’s just a trip down to Nandini. I’ve met people from all walks of life and made tough choices. I’ve learnt to pause and appreciate, to be kind, and to listen. I will look back to the days leading up to the event more that the day. Creative room, conversations, file work, backstage commotion, refreshments and most importantly trips to Kengeri Campus. I am taking back a truck load of memories to cherish and am grateful to the family for this.
It’s no fun if you’re doing it solo but together it’s a memorable experience, and that’s what SWO has given me.

Ananya Shukla,

During my three years in Christ University, Student Welfare Office was an inseparable part of my life. The months of preparation, the backstage shenanigans and the satisfaction of a job well done are some of my fondest memories. This organization gave me opportunity to be at the helm of student leadership and representation, while building a family.
Down the line I would look back at those experiences for guidance, and fall back on the people for support.
